Angela Storm

Angela Storm passed away Friday, December 29, 2023, with the comfort of family by her side. Angela was born to Joseph and Carmella Brogna on July 18, 1948 in Brooklyn, New York. She grew up in Bensonhurst, and graduated from New Utrecht High School with the class of 1966. She had two siblings, John and Camille, both previously deceased. She achieved an associates degree in continuing education at Kingsborough Community College. Angela�s first job was at Kinney Shoes in Lower Manhattan. After that, she worked as a school crossing guard for the NYPD. She worked in unit 811K at P.S.329 in Coney Island, Brooklyn for 25 years and called it her home away from home. She retired in 2013 to stay home and spend time with her growing family. Angela was loving, kind , caring, generous and devoted to her family. She was a wonderful cook and loved to decorate and host holidays for her family and friends. She took great pride in her garden of fresh vegetables in the backyard of her Great Kills home in Staten Island. She enjoyed vacationing and loved the beach. She had a wonderful sense of humor and an enchanting smile and was loved by everyone she came in contact with. Angela met the love of her life, William Storm in 1968 on a skiing trip. When he was drafted into the army in 1969, Angela waited 2 years for him to return from Vietnam. The two were married on February 13,1971 at St. Finbar's Church in Brooklyn. Coincidentally, the day Angela became a Storm, New York was hit with a blizzard and the couple hardly made it to their honeymoon in Cove Haven Pennsylvania. Angela and Bill�s marriage was blessed with two daughters, Andrea and Kerry in 1973 and 1975. In late 1992 , Angela was granted guardianship of her nephew, Brian , her sisters� only son, and she raised him as her own. Angela was honored to be a Grandmother. She loved her years as Grammy to her two granddaughters Francesca and Kasey and two grandsons Carter and Zachary. She was also blessed to see three great grandchildren, Salvatore, JohnFranco and Madison. Friends may visit with the family at the John Vincent Scalia Home for Funeral at 28 Eltingville Blvd. Staten Island N.Y on Friday January 5th 2024 from 2:00PM to 4:00PM and 7:00PM to 9:00PM. Saturday January 6th from the funeral home to St.Clare's Roman Catholic Church where Funeral Mass will be offered at 9:45AM. Burial to follow at Resurrection Cemetery at 361 Sharrott Avenue Staten Island, NY.
