Ashley Nicole King-Hernandez

Ashley Nicole King- Hernandez, 26 of Eltingville passed away suddenly on Tuesday October the 10th, 2023. Born in Brooklyn on May 22nd, 1997, an identical twin, she was the devoted daughter of Barbara A. King and the late Charels Mitchell Hernandez. Raised in Staten Island Ashley graduated high school, and was currently enrolled in the Dental Hygienist Program at the St Paul's School of Nursing. Ashley was a shining personality among her family and friends. While down to Earth Ashley made sure to treat everyone in her life like they were the most important person in the world to her. Ashley's fortitude was unfounded, learning at the young age of 22 that she had Chronic Myeloid Leukemia, Ashley never faltered, she powered through treatment and went into remission. Recently Ashley was notified that her cancer had returned. Ashley loved to read and write especially poetry; her creative nature allowed her an outlet for expressing how she felt to her family and friends. Ashley always put everyone else before herself and was so much larger than life. Ashley always expressed Love and kindness to everyone who met her. Ashley's world revolved around her daughter Shiley, Everything she did in the world was to make sure the Shiley was loved, cared for and received not only a solid education but support from everyone who surrounded her. Ashley was the loving mother of Shiley King. She was the Beloved daughter of Barbara Ann King and the late Charles Mitchell Hernandez. Dearest stepdaughter of Robert Norman. Cherished sister of Mitchell, Charlie, & Jason Hernandez, Christopher King , Brandon Norman, her identical twin Amber King-Hernandez, and Hailey. Devoted aunt, cousin, and friend to all who knew her. Her shining light will continue to shine over all of her family and friends. Friends and extended family are invited to visit with Ashley's family at the John Vincent Scalia Funeral Home at 28 Eltingville Blvd. Staten Island NY. On Saturday October 21st, 2023. From 6 pm-9 pm A Funeral Service will be held in the funeral home at 8 pm. At the family's request, a go fund me for Ashley's daughter and family has been established to help with the cost of the funeral as well as the continued care of her young daughter, Shiley.
