Obituary for Charlotte Ann Cahill It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Charlotte Ann Cahill, who left this world peacefully at her home surrounded by her loving family,in Staten Island, New York, on May 6, 2025, at the age of 72. Born on March 29, 1953, in Staten Island, the oldest of 11 children, Charlotte was the beloved daughter of the late Charles Otto and Antonia Panipinto Otto. She was preceded in death by her devoted husband, Brian Edward Cahill Sr., in 2011, as well as her sister Elizabeth Otto-Wade and her brother Ronnie Otto. Charlotte's life was a testament to love, resilience, and unwavering devotion to family. Married 38 beautiful years to Brian, she built a life filled with family gatherings, laughter, and countless cherished memories. Together, they nurtured a family that now includes her daughter Lori Bjorkman and her husband Keith, Jessica Pizzuto and her husband Joseph, Brian E. Cahill Jr. and his wife Shannon, Kristy Buxbaum and her husband Ross, and Sean Cahill and his wife Jessica. Charlotte took immense pride in her role as a grandmother to Daniel Bjorkman, Emily Buxbaum, Donald Pizzuto, Jason Buxbaum, Joseph Pizzuto, Brian Cahill, Laila Buxbaum, Liam Cahill, and Austin Cahill. They were the light of her life, and her love for them knew no bounds. Charlotte's spirit was small in stature but immense in personality. She had a unique gift for bringing people together, and she relished family parties and barbecues, always orchestrating the next gathering to ensure everyone felt included. Known for her passion for family current events, she kept up with every detail of her extensive family network, proving to be the heartbeat of her clan. Her affectionate nature and unyielding support will be missed deeply by her siblings-Jane Casciano (Pat), Mary Eldridge (Richard), Maureen Bilak (Eddie) , Donna Bilak (Vincent), Thomas Otto (Becky), Richie Otto(Maria), Charlie Otto and Tony Otto-as well as many in-laws, Aunts,cousins, nieces and nephews, and friends who were fortunate enough to know her. In her final years, Charlotte displayed incredible strength and humility as she faced the challenges of lung cancer. Despite her struggles, she met each day with determination and grace, showing us all what it means to fight with dignity. Her ability to find joy amidst adversity was truly inspiring, and her legacy will live on in the hearts of everyone who had the pleasure of knowing her. The family will hold a visitation for Charlotte on Friday May 9th, 2025, from 2:00-5:00 and 7:00-9:00 pm at the John Vincent Scalia Home for Funerals located at 28 Eltingville Blvd, Staten Island, NY 10312. Charlotte's funeral service will be held on May 10, 2025, at 10:00 AM also at the John Vincent Scalia Home for Funerals Inc. Interment will follow in Resurrection Cemetery. Family and friends are invited to come celebrate the remarkable life of this extraordinary woman who brought so much love and joy into the lives of those around her.
