Concetta ''Tina'' Castellano, 101 of Great Kills formerly of Brooklyn, NY passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, October 22, 2020, at the age of 101. Conetta or Tina as everyone called her was born Monday, September 1, 1919 in Brooklyn, New York. Tina lived more than 80 years there before coming to live with her son Frank in Great kills 20 years ago. Concetta worked for a time as a Teacher's Assistant at the Montessori Schools. Tina enjoyed cooking and entertaining guest. She was an outgoing and friendly person. She also liked travelling, gambling and spending time with her family. Concetta was predeceased in 1988 by her cherished late husband Frank. Loving mother of Frank Castellano and Karen. Doting grandmother to Eric and Greg (Jessie) and dear great grandmother to Elizabeth. A Funeral service will be at 10:00 AM on Monday in the John Vincent Scalia Home for Funerals, Inc. located at 28 Eltingville Blvd Staten Island, New York 10312. Interment will be in Moravian Cemetery, Staten Island, NY. The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM on Sunday, October 25, 2020, at John Vincent Scalia Home for Funerals, Inc., 28 Eltingville Blvd, Staten Island, New York. Please be mindful due to the current State mandate that a mask must be worn at all times in the funeral home and social distancing requirements must be followed during the services. Due to the current Pandemic a strict 40-50 person in room policy is in effect, please adhere to this policy and allow others to pay their respects as well.
