Dena DiMiceli

Dena DiMiceli, 78 of Staten Island, New York passed away on Sunday, September 25, 2022, at home surrounded by her loving family. Born Monday, October 11, 1943, in Brooklyn, New York, she was the daughter of the late Samuel Sincinito and the late Audrey Sincinito. Dena spent a full life devoted to others. She was an administrator for the Seamen's Society in her younger years and dedicated her life to the care of not only her family but many children and families along the way. Dena spent many years as her husband's caretaker after his Multiple Sclerosis diagnosis, and was devoted to him until his passing. Dena was an active parishioner and volunteered at St Rita's Church making many of the banners for display. She was a CCD teacher also for St Rita's. In her free time Dena had many hobbies, she was a member of the Red Hat Society, and she loved to cook and sew. Her talents were widely known even going as far as sewing a wedding dress for her friend's wedding. Dena relished dancing and swimming. She was a definite thrill seeker jumping at the chance to ride every roller-coaster she could. She cherished time spent at Villa Roma with her family and friends, making memories that will live on for generations to come. But most of all any amount of time spent with her children and grandchildren was what brought the greatest joy to Dena. Her amazing spirit will live on in the hearts of all of the lives she's touched. She was the devoted wife of the late Peter DiMiceli who passed away in 2019. Loving mother of Peter DiMiceli and Rita Henkel. Dear mother-in-law of Joseph and Brandi. Cherished grandmother of Alyssa, James Kayla and Carolena. Dena is also survived by her best friend Carol Labbita. The family will receive friends from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM on Tuesday, October 11, 2022, at John Vincent Scalia Home for Funerals, Inc., 28 Eltingville Blvd, Staten Island, New York. A Funeral service will be held at 12:00 PM on Tuesday at John Vincent Scalia Home for Funerals, Inc. located at 28 Eltingville Blvd Staten Island, New York 10312. Interment of her ashes will follow right after at Resurrection Cemetery, Staten Island, NY.
