Dennis C. Doyle

Dennis C. Doyle, 70, of Staten Island passed away on Sunday, April 2nd, 2023 surrounded by his loving family. Born in Manhattan to the late Charles Doyle and Georgette Springer, he spent his early childhood years in Manhattan before relocating to Queens, NY. Dennis attended Brooklyn Tech HS and received his Master Degree in accounting and business from C.W. Post College. He started his professional career in 1976 at the New York State Comptroller's Office and went on to pursue a twenty-four year career in federal law enforcement at the Internal Revenue Service and the United States Customs Service. Dennis retired from the US Customs Service in 2002, after serving as a Supervisory Special Agent and the Resident Agent in Charge of the Long Island office. He continued his career in law enforcement at the Port Authority of New York/New Jersey. Dennis was an exemplary role model in his law enforcement career and truly earned his ''Police Pass Straight to the Gates of Heaven.'' Dennis enjoyed fishing with his son Matthew, traveling, concerts, reading, history and cheering on his beloved NY Yankees & Giants. Above all, he enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. Dennis was a loving husband, father, grandfather, uncle and friend who will be sadly missed by all who knew him. If you had the privilege of being around him, you were always in great company. Dennis is survived by his loving wife of twenty-four years, Jody Foresta, his son Matthew & daughter-in-law Lindsey, granddaughters Sophia, Maeve & Sloan and stepdaughter's Jennifer & Amanda. He leaves behind his sister-in-laws and brother-in-law, Roseann Abbrusato, Christine Peres, Salvatore and Kimberly Foresta. He was a loving uncle to Jeannine, Anthony, Donielle, Brian, Nicole, Matthew, T.J. Greg, Luke, Jessica, Joseph, Juliana and great uncle to Alessandra, Anabella, Antonia, Frankie, Sadie, Alanna, Victoria and Samantha. Relatives and friends are invited to gather on Monday, April 10th 2023 from 4-8 P.M. at Scalia Funeral Home located at 28 Eltingville Blvd., Staten Island, NY. A funeral mass will take place at 10:30 am, on Tuesday April 11th, 2023 at Holy Name of Jesus Church, Brooklyn, NY. A funeral ceremony will follow at Greenwood Cemetery, Brooklyn, NY. In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made in Dennis's name to the Tunnel to Towers Foundation or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
