Donald DiPasquale

Donald DiPasquale, 79 of Lakewood, New Jersey passed away on Saturday, July 1, 2023, at home surrounded by the love of his family. Born Saturday, June 3, 1944 in Brooklyn, New York, he was the son of the late Joseph DiPasquale and the late Jean Rinella DiPasquale. Don was born and raised in Brooklyn, NY he graduated from Fort Hamilton High school, he began working as a machinist in Manufacturing and retired to NJ where he had lived for the last 17 years. He met the love of his life, Margaret in Junior High School. They were married in 1963 and would have been married 60 years in October of this year. Don a machinist by trade, had many talents. Don was an accomplished musician, a jazz guitarist. He had his own band ''Musically Yours'' for approximately 25 years. He loved to teach guitar to students of all ages. He had a love and passion for music. He felt he had a God given gift that was meant to be shared. He loved all animals and they loved him back especially his furry grandbaby, Angelina. He loved to give advice to young married men that in order to achieve a successful happy marriage they only needed to learn two simple words, ''Yes Dear''. He was a calm and gentle soul, never stressed, his favorite expression was ''Hakuna Matata''. His granddaughter Alanna ''was the love of his life''. That was ''his girl'', his Nonni. They had an unbreakable bond. He was loved by all whose lives he touched and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. He was the beloved husband of nearly 60 years to Margaret (LaPreta) DiPasquale. Loving father of Lori Ann and her husband Cesare and Lisa and future son in law Robert. Dear brother of Sandra and the late Paul. Cherished and devoted Grandfather to Alanna. and to his fur grand baby Angelina. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 11:00 AM on Thursday at St Clare Church located at 110 Nelson Ave Staten Island, New York 10308. Private Interment to follow. The family will receive friends from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Wednesday, July 5, 2023, at John Vincent Scalia Home for Funerals, Inc., 28 Eltingville Blvd, Staten Island, New York.
