Grace Marie Langelotti, a beloved matriarch and cherished friend, passed away peacefully at home on September 12, 2026, surrounded by her loving family. Born on January 21, 1939, in Brooklyn, New York, Grace was the daughter of the late Charles Kohlmeyer and Helen Meixner Kohlmeyer. Her journey through life was marked by an unwavering dedication to her family, faith, and community. Grace was the devoted wife of the late Richard Langelotti, with whom she shared a beautiful marriage until his passing in 2005. Together, they were blessed with a loving family, including their children Marie Langelotti, Helen Joura, and Richard Langelotti, along with his wife Tricia. Grace was also predeceased by her beloved son, Joseph Langelotti. She leaves behind a legacy of love through her grandchildren: Christopher Langelotti, Joseph Joura, Ashley Joura, Kristen Langelotti, Olivia Langelotti, Madison Joura, Charlie Langelotti, and Patrick Sullivan, who will all carry forward her memory with affection. Educated at Visitation Academy in Brooklyn and Brown's Business School, Grace initially pursued a career as a bookkeeper with Johnson and Higgins Shearson. However, her heart was always at home, where she dedicated most of her life to being a nurturing homemaker. Her impact extended beyond her family as she served as a Eucharistic Minister alongside her husband, Richard, and devotedly taught CCD classes, sharing her faith and wisdom with younger generations. Grace's life was a tapestry of simple joys and profound love. She was a steadfast companion to her daughter Marie on day trips and found delight in nightly Scrabble games, outings with friends, and the occasional visit to the casino. Her daily devotion to the rosary was a testament to her deep faith, and her presence was a comforting rock for all who knew her. Grace's genuine kindness and warmth were felt by everyone she met. She embodied the essence of a true lady, with a heart of gold that touched countless lives. A service to honor and celebrate Grace's life will be held on September 17, 2026, at Holy Child Church, located at 4747 Amboy Rd, Staten Island, NY 10312. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Grace's memory to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, an organization that held a special place in her heart. Grace Marie Langelotti will be deeply missed, but her spirit will forever live on in the hearts of her family and friends. Her legacy of love and faith will continue to inspire those who knew and loved her.
