Kenneth G. Taylor

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Kenneth Taylor, devoted father, loyal partner, and cherished brother, on January 1, 2025. During his life, Kenneth was a proud NYC sanitation worker for 29 years, and a 9/11 first responder, embodying courage and selflessness in the face of unimaginable challenges. To his children, Keith and Peyton Taylor, he was their rock, their inspiration, and their greatest champion. He also shared 5 loving years with his long-time girlfriend, Margaret Nichols, whose companionship brought him immense joy and comfort, especially at the end of his life. Kenneth was the loving Son of the late Arthur and Rose Taylor and brother of the late Steven Taylor. Kenneth is survived by his beloved brothers and sisters, Larry (Camille), Alfred (Tina), Eileen Carey (Billy), Dorothy Graffigna (late Anthony), and George (Jennifer). Kenneth cherished his close-knit family and found endless joy in spending time with his brothers and sisters, who were his lifelong companions and confidants. He loved golfing and playing Poker with his brothers and was always there to help his little sisters anytime they needed him. He was also a loving and dependable Brother-in-law, Cousin, Godfather, Uncle, and Great-Uncle to all the members of his very large extended family and enjoyed being warmly welcomed into his partner's family, as well. Throughout the years, the whole family shared laughter, love, unforgettable vacations, and countless games of Left, Right, Center. In his alone time, Kenneth enjoyed his trips to the ''garbage store,'' where his knack for finding hidden gems always amazed those around him. Kenneth's resilience, humor, and love for his family will be dearly missed but always remembered. He leaves behind a legacy of love, loyalty, and bravery that will continue to inspire everyone who knew him. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM on Monday, January 6, 2025, and 2:00 to 5:00 and 7:00 - 9:00 PM on Tuesday, January 7, 2025 at John Vincent Scalia Home for Funerals, Inc., 28 Eltingville Blvd, Staten Island, New York. A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday evening at 7:45 p.m. in the Funeral Home. Arrangements inlcude private cremation.
