In loving memory of Kujtim Rexha Kujtim Rexha, 61, beloved father and husband, is sadly no longer with us. He passed away suddenly, but peacefully, on August 19, 2023 of Cardiopulmonary Arrest. This loss was completely unexpected leaving family & friends shocked and deeply saddened. He will be truly missed in so many ways. Tim, as everyone called him, was born on August 5, 1962 in Tirana, Albania. He graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering from Polytechnic University of Tirana in 1984. He met the love of his life, Dhurata, in September of 1992. They were engaged and married 3 years later, on September 17, 1995. Their romance lasted all 31 years and they were blessed with their wonderful son, Rei. Tim was a force of nature, determined to provide for his family and give them the life he felt they deserved. Tim moved his family to Staten Island in October 1998. His family meant more to him than anything else in the world. Tim was blessed with a loving family and wore many titles: husband, dad, brother, and son who enjoyed spending time with his family. Tim was a loving and dedicated father to Rei. He was the center beam of his life and he gave him everything a father could give. Tim was Rei’s coach in every regard. He introduced him to his love of weightlifting. He brought him so much joy and happiness. Tim was unendingly proud of Rei becoming an Engineer too and always supported him and his goals no matter how small or how grand they seemed. Tim enjoyed reading, loved sports, classic movies, and music, especially classic rock. Stairway to Heaven by Led Zeppelin was his favorite song. Tim had a gift of making everyone feel like family. His friends describe him as nothing but extremely kind, loving, caring, warm and a wonderful person who was incredibly sharp with a keen/funny wit about him. But really, he will be missed more than words can say. Tim was predeceased by his father, Servet, and mother, Hatixhe. He is survived by his son, Rei, his wife, Dhurata, his sister Fatma, his brother Artan, and his nieces, Alexia, Silvi, and Flavia. He will forever be in their hearts and missed very much everyday. Tim’s life was a BLESSING His memory a TREASURE He’s LOVED beyond words And MISSED beyond measure A “Celebration of Life & Memorial Service” will be held on Friday August 25, 2023, at John Vincent Scalia Home for Funerals, Inc., 28 Eltingville Blvd, Staten Island, New York. The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM and 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM. The funeral service will be at 11:00 AM on Saturday August 26th, 2023. Interment will follow in Ocean View Cemetery, Staten Island, NY.
