Linda K. Hansen

Linda K. Hansen, 58 of Staten Island, passed away on Monday, December 26, 2022, at NYU Langone Medical Center. Born Linda Kristine Bach, she was raised in Brooklyn and moved to Staten Island in 1993. She graduated from Wagner College and spent her entire career as a nurse devoting her life to caring for others. She began her career at Lutheran Medical Center, then dedicating herself to nursing homes by working at the Norwegian Christian Home and Health Center, and Lutheran Augustana, both in Brooklyn, NY. Most recently she worked for Eger Lutheran Homes and Services in Staten Island as the Vice President for Nursing. Linda was an amazing example of a woman who did it all, somehow giving her all to both her family and those she cared for as a nurse. She attended Bethany Lutheran Brethren Church in Westerleigh where she worshipped alongside lifelong friends. Linda�s primary joy in life came from time spent with family and with friends who she considered family. She was uniquely gifted at making everyone around her feel noticed, nurtured, and cared for. She welcomed her friends, as well as the friends of her children, nieces, and nephew into her family without question. Any gathering at her home would include more food than anyone could possibly consume and funny and meaningful conversations with everyone. She enjoyed vacationing to Long Beach Island, Disney World, and Rowland, Pennsylvania where she often visited alongside her extended family. In recent years, she loved being a Beste to her four grandchildren telling friends and coworkers about them with pride and joy. Born Thursday, June 25, 1964 in Brooklyn, New York, she is predeceased by her parents Kenneth and Lilly Bach. Linda is survived by her best friend and husband Robert C. Hansen; her brother Ken (Patricia) Bach; her children Lindsay (Luis) Rosado, Hannah (Kyle) Van Osten, Kari Hansen and Ross Hansen; and her grandchildren Lilly Ana Rosado, Elijah Luis Rosado, Maren Elise Van Osten, and Reagan Noel Van Osten. A Funeral service will be at 10:30 AM on Friday at Bethany Lutheran Brethren Church located at 233 Westcott Blvd Staten Island, New York 10314. Arrangements include private cremation. The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM to 4:30 PM and 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM on Thursday, December 29, 2022, at John Vincent Scalia Home for Funerals, Inc., 28 Eltingville Blvd, Staten Island, New York.
