Mary Ann LiVolsi

Mary Ann LiVolsi, 81 of Holmdel, New Jersey passed away on Thursday, January 14th, at Calvary Hospital Brooklyn after a long illness. Born on November 16, 1939 in Manhattan, New York, Mary Ann was the daughter of the late Joseph Siletti and the late Anna Farina Siletti. Mary Ann grew up in the Bensonhurst section of Brooklyn. She enjoyed spending time with her many cousins who also lived in the same neighborhood. In June of 1961, she married Joseph LiVolsi, the young man who lived across the street. In 1966 Mary Ann and Joseph moved to Staten Island where they raised their family. They enjoyed a happy and loving 23 year marriage until his death in June of 1984. Mary Ann was a home maker devoted to raising her young family. During that time, Mary Ann enjoyed vacationing at the New Jersey shore, ceramics and bowling. She was proud of her one-time high score of 215 at Sunset Lanes in the late 1970s. Mary Ann also loved to travel, having visited the Caribbean, Niagara Falls, California, and because she was an Elvis fan, Graceland. Mary Ann was a devoted grandmother to her 10 beautiful grandchildren. Nothing gave her more pleasure than spending time with them and watching them grow. Mary Ann is survived by her loving children, Michael, Joseph, Lori Ann Petrarca, and Christopher. She was a cherished sister to Patricia Onorio and Joseph Siletti. Mary Ann was adored by her grandchildren, Jessica, Laura, Matthew, Sabrina, Anthony, Olivia, Elizabeth, James, Joseph, and Madeline. She is also survived by her son-in-law, Anthony Petrarca and her daughters-in-law, Laraine,Deborah and Katie LiVolsi. Donations in Mary Ann’s name may be made to Calvary Hospice - Brooklyn Campus. Due to the ongoing pandemic, the family has decided that the wake and funeral service will be private. However, you can attend virtually via the attached Zoom link. Please be mindful due to the current state mandate that a mask must be worn at all times in the funeral home, and social distancing requirements must be followed during the services. A strict 30 person in-room policy is in effect. Please adhere to these policies and allow others to pay their respects as well. Interment will be in Moravian Cemetery, Staten Island, NY.
