Patricia Zoltowski

Patricia Mary Zoltowski, 77 of Woodrow, passed away on Thursday, March 27, 2025, peacefully at home with her loved ones by her side. Born Tuesday, October 14, 1947 in Queens, New York, she was the eldest daughter of the late Francis Dinan and the late Dorothy (Curran) Dinan. Patricia was a graduate of Mater Christi high school, in Astoria, NY. Patricia started working soon after graduation, beginning her career at Guardian Life Insurance. She then moved on to Fiduciary Trust, later acquired by Franklin Templeton, where most of her career was spent working her way up within the human resources department. While working full time, Patricia attended night school at St. John�s University to get her bachelor�s degree. She loved working in Manhattan, taking the ferry ride in the mornings and working downtown in the World Trade Center. She was indeed one of those crazy stories on 911, where she just happened to wake up late that morning. Any other day, she would have been in her office at 2 World Trade Center when everything happened. We as a family are forever grateful to have been fortunate enough to have gotten those extra 20+ years with her. Patricia married Robert Zoltowski on October 14, 1972. They purchased their first and only home in 1975 and became residents of Staten Island, where they built and raised their family. They lived in that same house for 50 years. Anyone who knew Pat knew what a huge music lover she was, of all kinds. She loved turning someone on to a band she loved and in turn loved someone sharing something new for her to check out. She could talk your ear off over movies and books that you had in common with seeing or reading. She loved going into Manhattan to see the newest Broadway musical or play, going to the ballet or checking out a random off-Broadway show. She could point out every constellation and planet that could be seen in a clear night�s sky. Many summer nights were spent laying out watching meteor showers. But I think what most people will remember her best for is her baking. Aunt Pat�s cookies were known and loved by anyone who had the opportunity to try one. She�d bake for months to make sure she had enough cookies to get to everyone on her list for Christmas. Patrcia was a proud and active member in her parish of Our Lady Star of the Sea. Her and Robert sent their daughter to school there from kindergarten - 8th grade. She was a Eucharistic Minister at Our Lady Star of the Sea. Once she retired, Pat then became a CCD teacher for OLSS. She was so loved and will be greatly missed by Her daughter Jennifer Williams, son-in-law Doug Williams, and grandson Wayne Sisters Ann Eager and Marian Dinan Brothers Father Dennis Dinan, Thomas Dinan, Terrence Dinan and Joseph Dinan All of her family and friends, too many to name A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 10:00 AM on Friday 4/4 at Our Lady Star of the Sea Church located at 5411 Amboy Road Staten Island, New York 10312. Followed by her burial in Resurrection Cemetery, Staten Island, NY. The family will receive friends from 2:00-4:00 PM and then 6:00-9:00 PM on Thursday, April 3, 2025, at John Vincent Scalia Home for Funerals, Inc., 28 Eltingville Blvd, Staten Island, New York. Pat loved flowers, but she was also a very generous supporter to various charities and foundations. If you would like to donate to a charity on behalf of Patricia in lieu of flowers, some of her favorites were St Jude�s Children�s Hospital, The Humane Society, Thirteen PBS. She was diagnosed with Parkinson�s Disease at the end of 2022, a donation to The Michael J Fox Foundation to help us cure and combat this awful disease for current and future patients would be great.
