Stephen Geager

Stephen Geager, age 64, of Brooklyn, NY, passed away on May 9th, 2024. Born on July 26, 1959, he was a cherished member of the community and a notable inductee into the Brooklyn Tech Football Hall of Fame. Loved by many, forgotten by none; he was a loving father, brother, and husband. Stephen is survived by his two daughters, Veronica Geager (Matthew Tooker) and Victoria Geager (Larry DiAntonio), their mother Paula Geager, mother in law Veronica Gambino, his brother John Geager (Virginia Geager) and sisters Lizzie Nelson and Janet Pell. Known for his unique personality, sense of humor and big heart; his legacy of kindness and strength lives on through his family and all who knew him. Stephen graduated from Brooklyn Technical High School and quickly became known in his community for his sportsmanship and leadership on the football field. His legacy at Brooklyn Tech is remembered by many and continues to inspire future generations. He went on to play football at Wagner college and assisted coaching at Tech. Beyond his achievements on the field, Stephen was a dedicated worker; starting his career running a business at CUNY and being a beverage industry expert for most of his lifetime. His passions included golfing, watching his favorite sports teams, creating fun memories and spending time with his girls. Stephen was a source of wisdom and knowledge in the lives of his family members and friends. His personality and humor brought light to every gathering, and his absence will be deeply felt by all. Stephen's life was a testament to the power of hard work, love, and dedication. He will be sorely missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.. A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:30 AM on Tuesday at St. Rita's located at 281 Bradley Ave Staten Island, New York 10314. The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM on Monday, May 13, 2024, at John Vincent Scalia Home for Funerals, Inc., 28 Eltingville Blvd, Staten Island, New York.
