Thomas J. McComiskey, 72 of Huguenot passed away on Sunday, August 9, 2015, at Staten Island University Hospital South in Staten Island, New York. Born Wednesday, September 16, 1942 in Brooklyn, New York, he was the son of the late Robert McComiskey and the late Catherine O'Callaghan McComiskey. He was a Detective for NYPD 72, Precinct in Sunset Park, Brooklyn for 20 years. A Previous Surveyor for Slattery Construction, He was a surveyor for the construction of the Verrazano Bridge. He was a member of Our Lady Star of The Sea. Beloved husband of 50 years to Frances (Gregory) McComiskey Loving father of Thomas McComiskey, James McComiskey, Debra McSweeney Johnsen, and Susan McComiskey. Dear father in law of Paul Johnsen, Jason Lundell, Illena McComiskey, Carissa McComiskey, and the late Timothy Patrick McSweeney (2001) Devoted grandfather of Cody Johnsen, Dennis McSweeney, Maggie McSweeney, Patrick McSweeney, Aidan McComiskey, Olivia McComiskey, Daniel Johnsen, Leah McComiskey, Timothy McComiskey, and Luke McComiskey. Dear brother of Donald McComiskey, Richard McComiskey, Maureen Panos, and the late Robert McComiskey. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:00 AM on Wednesday at Our Lady Star of the Sea Church located at 5411 Amboy Road Staten Island, New York 10312. Interment will be in Resurrection Cemetery, Staten Island, NY.
