Vincent L. Cositore

Vincent ''Vinnie'' L Cositore Jr. passed away on Sunday, March 21, 2021 at the age of 70. Vinnie was born on May 21, 1950 in Jersey City, New Jersey to Vincent and Edna. He graduated from The College of Staten Island in 1970 with a degree in Business. Vinnie spent the majority of his 30-plus year career as an Inventory Specialist for the federal government with the General Services Administration. He spent over 10 years in Philadelphia before returning to his childhood neighborhood on Staten Island, where he lived for the remainder of his life. Vinnie is survived by his beloved sister, Claudia, his nephew Eric Schramm (wife Amy), grand nephew Max Vincent Schramm, niece, Carina Schramm, stepmother, Rose Cositore, and multiple loving cousins. Vinnie was passionate about the New York Yankees, "oldies" music, magic, and classic comedians, like Laurel & Hardy, the Three Stooges, and Rodney Dangerfield. He also loved dogs and cats, and they all loved him in return. Vinnie had a fantastic memory - he could instantly recall the year a song or movie was released, and loved to reminisce about the fun times he had with family and friends. His family remembers him as kind, humorous, and incredibly thoughtful. He always made sure his family knew how much he loved them, whether they lived near or far. Vinnie could also make anyone laugh. He will be forever missed. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 12:00 PM on Saturday at Holy Child Church located at 4747 Amboy Rd Staten Island, New York 10312. The family will receive friends from 9:30 AM to 11:30 AM on Saturday, March 27, 2021, at John Vincent Scalia Home for Funerals, Inc., 28 Eltingville Blvd, Staten Island, New York.
