Winston I. Louisson, Sr., 74 of Elm Park,passed away suddenly on Sunday, August 9, 2020, at Brooklyn VA Medical Center. Born Wednesday, July 31, 1946,in Trinidad, he was the son of the late Evans Louisson and the late Necita Molleau Louisson. Winston, a US Army veteran of the Vietnam War was man of many talents and a fountain of words of wisdom. Winston was a simple man enjoying watching baseball and religiously playing his lotto numbers. Most important to him was family, he devoted his life to his family and will be sorely missed by all who knew him and all who's lives he has touched. He was the devoted husband of Paula (Defreitas) Louisson. Loving father of Winston I. Louisson, Jr. ''Junior'', Malcolm Defreitas, Jean Defreitas, and Kendra Patrick. Dear father in law of Diana (Greco) Louisson and Dennis Andrews. Cherished grandfather of Christa, Kiara, Jayla, Justin, Darin, Devin, Evan, Brayden, Andre, Andrea, Jocelyn and Joseph and dearest great grandfather of Jordan (JJ). Fond brother of Yvonna, June, and Junior. Dear God father to Arlene and Eddie. Adored uncle to many nieces and nephews. A Funeral service will be offered at 9:45 AM on Tuesday at John Vincent Scalia Home for Funerals, Inc. located at 28 Eltingville Blvd Staten Island, New York 10312. Interment will follow with Honors in Calverton National Cemetery, Calverton, NY. The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM on Monday, August 17, 2020, at John Vincent Scalia Home for Funerals, Inc., 28 Eltingville Blvd, Staten Island, New York. Please be mindful due to the current state mandate that a mask must be worn at all times in the funeral home and social distancing requirements must be followed during the services.
