Anna Maria Piccione

December 15, 1954 - December 6, 2020

Anna Maria Piccione, age 65, went home to heaven surrounded by her loving family on December 6, 2020. Anna Maria was born on December 15, 1954 in Brooklyn, New York to her parents Vincent and Nancy Marrone. She is survived by her husband of 38 years, Alex Piccione, and daughter Natalie Piccione. She worked in the Garment District in New York City for many years before marrying Alex and giving birth to Natalie. She regarded God and her family together as her greatest love and the most important part of her life. She was a devoted wife and mother and treasured every moment spent with family, and family dogs and family church. Anna Maria, Alex and Natalie helped grow a ministry in Coney Island for the homeless and in 6 years served over 30,000 free meals to the needy. She attended and graduated from New Utrecht High School, having participated with her beautiful voice in the Sweet Adeline's choir and Trinity Church choir, where she met Alex. Anna Maria, Alex and Natalie attended Bible college as a family team for several years as they grew closer together in Christ, The ministry of Love One Another. Anna Maria's interests were her joy and included bible study, worship and prayer, culinary arts, singing in her beautiful soprano voice, knitting, tending to her home, garden and garden farm, doctoring the family dogs, spending time with horses, feeding sparrows and caring for injured animals. She celebrated God's awesome creation by giving of herself to tending all that God brought into her life. There are no words to describe the enormity of the mutual unconditional love Anna Maria shared with Alex and Natalie. Until that heavenly reunion, perfect love will endure and sustain the brokenhearted. A Graveside service will be held at 12:00 PM on Friday at Resurrection Cemetery located at 361 Sharrott Avenue Staten Island, New York 10309.
