Anthony Giammarino Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Anthony Giammarino, 70, of Pleasant Plains, passed away on Friday, July 8th, 2022, after a series of long illnesses. Born Thursday, December 27th, 1951, in Brooklyn, N.Y., he was the son of the late Ralph Giammarino and Susanna (Anna) Scavo Giammarino. He was also the brother of the late Annette Giammarino Raamot and the brother-in-law to the late Tonis Raamot. Anthony worked many years as a Steamfitter before becoming a Foreman, and was a member of Local 638. In his earlier years, Anthony was a talented musician in several bands- ''Stix and Stones,'' ''Tappan-Lee,'' ''Chris Michaels Band,'' and ''Peter Edwards Band.'' He played the bass guitar. Up until his illnesses, he enjoyed assembling models of World War II tanks and airplanes, and collected LGB Trains, which he proudly displayed. He also enjoyed riding around in his Porsche. Anthony was known for his witty personality and often made family members and friends laugh at his jokes. He is survived by his two children; Andrew and Jeanine, his ex-wife Noel, two daughter-in-laws; Janine and Tinamarie, and three grandchildren; James Andrew, Natalie Sophia, and Nicholas Anthony.
