Ashley Rose Smith

Ashley Rose Smith, 34 of Easton, Pa passed away on August 27, 2022. Born and raised in Staten Island N.Y., daughter of Dorothy Smith (nee Landi) and the late George "Jackie" Smith. Ashley graduated Tottenville High School. She became a Certified Nursing Assistant, who went above and beyond her duties in caring for her patients. She worked throughout the Covid pandemic and often was the only person in her patients lives, connecting them via FaceTime with their families. Her compassion and professionalism was endless. Ashley was always known to be a warm and loving family oriented woman. She was kind, caring and loving person who took a genuine interest and compassion in everyone, including her love of animals. Ashley was funny, helpful beautiful person inside and out. She had a very strong, happy, fun and loving relationship with her sisters Candace and Jillian. She thoroughly enjoyed movie night with her children, nieces and nephews, always coming up with zany themes to compliment the show they watched. A devoted mom, Ashley left behind her 2 sons, Santino Queen 12, Billy Queen Jr. 10 , and 1 daughter Angeli Colon 3. Also surviving are her siblings, James Barbazote, George "Jack" Smith (Mia), Candace Ranello (Patrick) and Jillian Pedersen (Anthony). She was a loving aunt to her adored nieces and nephews : Angelina Barbazote, Jake Barbazote, Jace Barbazote, Dominick Barbazote, , Anthony Barbazote, Andrea Smith, Emily Smith, Patrick Ranello, Alyssa Ranello, Angelo Queen, Amelia Queen Gracie Queen and Ava Pedersen. So many saddened hearts are left behind with her many aunts, uncles and loving close cousins. Her unexpected and heartbreaking passing has left her family with the utmost sadness. She will be sincerely missed and will live in their hearts forever. A Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday at John Vincent Scalia Home for Funerals, Inc. located at 28 Eltingville Blvd Staten Island, New York 10312. Interment will follow in Resurrection Cemetery, Staten Island, NY. The family will receive friends from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. on Monday, September 5, 2022, at John Vincent Scalia Home for Funerals, Inc., 28 Eltingville Blvd, Staten Island, New York.
