Donald Magee of Eltingville passed away on Wednesday May 4, 2022. Born in Brooklyn to the late Joseph and Gertrude. Donald was a very patriotic American, who loved his Country. He was a Proud Veteran of the United States Army serving in Vietnam as a land mine sweeper. Donald was a simple man, who found the greatest joys in life came from being with family and friends. Never one to miss any family gathering, he was the life of the party. He was one of 15 children, including 4 sets of twins. His twin sister, Anna, is still alive. Donald could always be found on the dance floor as he loved to dance. He enjoyed travelling to family get togethers in Long Island and down on the Jersey Shore. He also found great solace just sitting in his yard by the pool. He always put others before himself, whether it be family or friends. An Avid Mets fan , he was always sitting in front of the television rooting his beloved Mets on, no matter how well or poorly they were playing. In the winters, his Sunday's were spent cheering for the NY Giants. He was predeceased by his wife Marilyn. He is survived by his loving daughter Tanya Aiello and her husband Anthony. His grandchildren ; Kayla and her husband Joe, Jacqueline, Samantha and Justine, and his great granddaughter Avery Love. Seven of his siblings pre deceased him. A gathering of family and friends will take place on Friday from 2-5 & b7-9 p.m. at The John Vincent Scalia Home For Funerals, Inc. 28 Eltingville Blvd. Military Honors will take place in the Funeral Home at 4:00 p.m.
