Elizabeth Lista

September 9, 1931 - April 11, 2022

Elizabeth Lista of Eltingville passed away on Monday April 11, 2022 at Carmel Richmond Health Care Center, where she has resided for the past 10 years. Born to the late Gennaro and Catherine Orfano, she was a woman who was extremely devoted to her family. She was a talented and gifted artist. She enjoyed and was most proficient at needlepoint. She would sketch designs,and then transfer those drawings into needlepoint. For many years she operated a store on Court Street in South Brooklyn called Just a Little Stitch. She endured much hardship, on the day her husband passed away her son Eugene died the same day in a tragic auto accident. Three years later she had to bury her other son Robert. She is survived by her devoted daughter in law Francine Lista, her adoring grandsons Anthony and Steven, as well as her many loving nieces and nephews. A gathering of family and friends will be held on Wednesday, April 13, 2022 from 5:00- 9:00 p.m. at the John Vincent Scalia Home For Funerals Inc, 28 Eltingville Blvd. Staten Island, NY 10312, A Blessing will be on Thursday, April 14, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. at St Joseph Church located at 16 Poplar Ave., Staten Island, NY. Interment will follow in Greenwood Cemetery, Brooklyn, NY
