Frances A. Pensante

June 30, 1924 - October 23, 2021

Frances A. Pensante, 97 of Eltingville, passed away on Saturday, October 23, 2021, at home surrounded by her loving family. Born Monday, June 30, 1924 in Jersey City, New Jersey, she was the daughter of the late Joseph Capodici and the late Anna Licato Capodici. Frances born in Jersey City and raised in Italy, was a seamstress by trade. Frances was a member of the AARP club in New Dorp, and an active member of the Mount Loretto's Friendship club in her later years. She thrived on Bingo at the center and was a regular participant in Rummykub games. She relished her free time doing word search puzzles at home as well as cooking for her friends and family. Frances will be remembered forever for her Sauce, her amazing roasted chicken and her meatballs that no one could duplicate. A rare talent that she has taken with her. Frances' life was truly devoted to her family, her children and even more so her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She cherished every moment spent with them until her final days. She was the beloved wife of Emilio who passed away in 1964 and Fred who passed away in 1979. Loving mother of JoAnn Spiotta, Pauline Logan, and the late Emily Sorice (2011). Dearest mother in law of Michael Spiotta, John Logan and Anthony Sorice. Cherished grandmother of Joseph, Lisa, Marie, Danielle, Michael, and Jessica. Doting great grandmother of Joseph, Michele, Anthony, Giovanna, Salvatore, Vincent and Emily. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 11:00 AM on Wednesday at St Clare Church located at 110 Nelson Ave Staten Island, New York 10308. Interment will follow in Moravian Cemetery, Staten Island, NY. The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM and 7:00pm to 9:00pm on Tuesday, October 26, 2021, at John Vincent Scalia Home for Funerals, Inc.., 28 Eltingville Blvd, Staten Island, New York.
