Frank M. Sacco, 76, formerly of Eltingville, passed away on Friday, October 8, 2021, at LeHigh Valley Hospital in Allentown, Pennsylvania. Born Tuesday, April 17, 1945 in Manhattan, he was the son of the late John Sacco and Gilda Mandara. While growing up in the Throgs Neck section of the Bronx, Frank enjoyed being with friends and singing ''Doo-Wop'' on the street corners. He met his wife Joan at the Bronx Swim Club at the age of 13 and they married in 1966. They purchased their Eltingville home in 1969 and Frank has been a friendly face in the community ever since. Frank worked at American Express in NY where he was the director of Purchasing for 25 years. He was an avid fan of the NY Yankees, Giants and Rangers. Frank enjoyed fishing, golfing, trips to Atlantic City with his wife, traveling and eating at his favorite restaurants. He mostly enjoyed time spent with his family enjoying a home cooked meal watching sports or a movie in his favorite chair. Frank was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. He cherished watching his grandchildren grow into young adults and was proud of all their accomplishments. His family was his pride and joy and he will remain in their hearts and be forever missed. Frank is survived by his beloved wife of 55 years, Joan. Loving father to Thea DeVito and Steve Sacco. Dear father-in-law to Frank DeVito and Shannon Sacco. Devoted grandfather to Sabrina, Frankie, Jake and Mia. The family will receive friends from 2:00 - 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 13, 2021, at the John Vincent Scalia Home for Funerals, Inc., 28 Eltingville Blvd, Staten Island, New York. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, October 14, 2021 at Holy Child Church located at 4747 Amboy Road Staten Island, New York 10312. Interment will follow in Ocean View Cemetery, Staten Island, NY.
