Gennarina Giacomini, 100 of Brooklyn, New York passed away on Tuesday, November 16, 2021. Born in Cantalupo, Italy, April 1, 1921, she was the daughter of the late Carmine Gaglia and Victoria Penna. Gennarina immigrated to the United States in 1966 with her husband and five children in 1966. She was employed at Bishop Ford High School for 23 years. She was a devout catholic who attended mass daily. Gina took great pleasure in cooking & baking for her family. She loved to crochet blankets for all new baby's arrivals . She taught crocheting at the local church group and those items were donated to the needy. She was at her happiest when surrounded by family. Gennarina was the devoted wife to the late Francesco who predeceased her in 1997. Loving mother of Enrico Giacomini (Lina), Vittoria Del Giudice (Vinny), Natalie Bocchinfuso (Michael), Carmine Giacomini (Debra), Josephine Di Paolo (Rocky). Dear sister to Angilina Marsillo and the late Antonio Gaglia. Cherished grandmother of 10 grandchildren and 16 great grand children. Gennarina is also survived by many nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Sunday, November 21, 2021, at Torregrossa Funeral Home, 1305 79th Street, Brooklyn, New York. A Funeral service will be at 10:00 AM on Monday at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church located at 2805 Fort Hamilton Parkway Brooklyn, New York 11218. Interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery, Brooklyn, NY.
