George Vincent, Sr.

June 10, 1945 - March 8, 2021

George Vincent Sr. of Barneget NJ formerly of Staten Island passed away at home on March 8, 2021 surrounded by his loving family. George retired from the FDNY as a Lieutenant . He was a proud Veteran serving in the US Navy from 1964 through 1966. He was a graduate of McKee Technical High School and he then furthered his education by attending John Jay College of Criminal Justice in New York. George was a member of the Corvette Club. In his leisure time he enjoyed playing golf, dancing, socializing and he was also a fish collector. His greatest joy came from spending time with his family. He is survived by his devoted wife of 52 years Barbara Jean. His loving children Jeanine Musso, Dana Vincent- Dizon, Jessica Barbarino and George Jr. His brothers John Vincent, Louis Vincent and Joseph Camacho. He was the devoted grandfather to Robert McKeon Jr., Brianni Vincent, Thomas Musso Jr., Alexis Vincent, Bianca Musso, Taylor Musso, Justin Barbarino, Gianna Barbarino, Julia Dizon, Ava Barbarino, Tyler Barbarino, Jordan Steakin- Vincent and James Steakin- Vincent. A gathering of family and friends will take place on Sunday from 1-5 pm at the John Vincent Scalia Home For Funerals, Inc. 28 Eltingville Blvd. Staten island NY. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Monday beginning at 10:15 am at Our Lady Star of the Sea Church.Interment will follow in Resurrection Cemetery with Military Honors. Please be mindful due to the current State mandate that a mask must be worn at all times in the funeral home and social distancing requirements must be followed during the services. Due to the current Pandemic a strict 50 person in room policy is in effect, as well as a maximum of 150 people permitted in Church. Please adhere to this policy and allow others to pay their respects as well. Due to the current pandemic circumstances please note: We do not accept deliveries from outside vendors for bakery products, fruit baskets, and floral arrangements until further notice. Floral Arrangements can be purchased from our in house floral designers who work under the most stringent sanitary conditions which include temperature checks, mask wearing, distancing and protective clothing. You can call 718-948-2016 and place your order. We must protect the families we serve, our own families and staff who operate the funeral home.
