Ignazio ''Eddy'' Giacalone, 58 of Eltingville, passed away on Monday, August 23, 2021. Born Sunday, April 21, 1963 in Brooklyn, New York, he was the son of the late Nicola Giacalone and Michela Principato Giacalone. Eddie was the devoted husband of 25 years to Maria Giacalone. Loving father to Michael Giacalone. Cherished brother to Josephine Limone (Robert) and Connie Bourbia (Mordy). Dear uncle to Danny, Rina, and Adam Bourbia and Frank and Ricky Limone. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 AM on Friday, September 3, 2021, at Holy Child Church, 4747 Amboy Rd, Staten Island, New York. A New York State decision that those who are vaccinated are no longer required to wear masks. However, our staff who have serviced over 350 covid funeral services safely will wear masks to protect those who have not been vaccinated or those who feel uncertain and our own families. We feel this is necessary because we have handled 8 covid deaths in the month of May and more as of this writing of June 21st.
