Isadora Morrongiello

September 26, 1923 - March 13, 2022

Isadora Morrongiello, 98 of Staten Island, New York passed away on Sunday, March 13, 2022. Born Isadora Tominello in Brooklyn, NY, she moved as a toddler to Lebanon, Connecticut where she grew up on the family's farm. Upon marriage, she returned to Brooklyn where she raised her family. In 1991, she relocated to Eltingville and then to Annadale. A homemaker most of her life, in later years she worked in Brooklyn for Andrea Cosmetics. She enjoyed doing word search puzzles and socializing. She was a former member of the Great Kills Friendship Club. Most of all, Isadora loved her family and treasured spending time with them. She was especially happy to celebrate special occasions with her great grandchildren. She will be remember as a woman of faith, loyal, caring and supportive of those she loved. Isadora is survived by her son, Patrick (Gail) and her daughter, Rosemary Rick; five loving grandchildren Karen Oliva (Vito), Michael M., Michael R., Daniel (Christina) and Lauren Rick; and four cherished great grandchildren Brianna, Nicholas, Joseph, and John. Her husband of 51 years, Salvatore, passed away in 1998. She was predeceased by her sisters Katherine and Rose and her brothers Michael, Joseph and Dominick. The family will receive friends from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Sunday, March 20, 2022, at John Vincent Scalia Home for Funerals, Inc., 28 Eltingville Blvd, Staten Island, New York. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 AM on Monday at Holy Child Church located at 4747 Amboy Road Staten Island, New York 10312. Interment will be in Resurrection Cemetery, Staten Island, NY.
