Joseph Guariglia, 52 of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina passed away on Friday, January 28, 2022. Born Saturday, August 16, 1969 in Brooklyn, New York, he was the son of the late Joseph Guariglia and Carol Chromchak Guariglia. Joseph worked for the NYC Department of Sanitation as a Supervisor in Staten Island, where he resided until his retirement. Joe was an avid semi-pro golfer living his dream in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. He enjoyed staying active and frequently walked, rollerbladed, played golf or softball. In his early years, he was a star softball player. Joe had many passions including stand up comedy and music. He was a comedian who loved making people laugh. Joe was a drummer and bassist in cover bands and loved bands like the Rolling Stones and Led Zeppelin. Joseph also was big fan of movies like Rodney Dangerfield and the Midnight Run. He was a lifelong New York Yankees fan. He enjoyed traveling, he did a ''world tour'' across countries and within the United States. Joseph was known for being handy in the home, he could fix, build and create practical things. He also loved cars, specifically Cadillacs. Joseph was a pizza king and loved to enjoy a good beer and whiskey. Joseph family orientated and caring. He was always dependable, generous and with a smile. He was charismatic and cherished spending time with his many friends. Joseph is survived by his loving companion, Cara, his two adoring sisters, Carol (Tom), and Milena along with many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. He will be greatly missed by all. The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM on Saturday, February 5, 2022, at John Vincent Scalia Home for Funerals, Inc., 28 Eltingville Blvd, Staten Island, New York. A Funeral service will be at 4:45 PM on Saturday at John Vincent Scalia Home for Funerals, Inc. located at 28 Eltingville Blvd Staten Island, New York 10312.
