Rev. Kenneth P. Morris

March 23, 1943 - October 10, 2021

Rev. Kenneth P. Morris, 78 of Staten Island, New York went home to the Lord on Sunday, October 10, 2021, at the Richmond University Medical Center, surrounded by the love of his family. Born Tuesday, March 23, 1943 in Brooklyn, New York, he was the son of the late Patrick and Irene Morris. Kenneth was raised in the Ozone Park section of Queens. Kenneth was employed by Citibank for more than 23 years. It was on a blind date he would meet the love of his life, Anne Manzo. The couple would marry and live on Staten Island. Eventually settling in Westerleigh where they would raise their children. A man of strong Christian faith, Kenneth would attend and graduate from the Logos Christian Ministries International, becoming an ordained minister in 1998. Kenneth enjoyed playing basketball and pitching in the church softball games. He loved Jesus and spending time ministering to those who listened. He was an active member of his longtime church El Bethel Assembly of God. He volunteered his time in any capacity that he was needed. Kenneth would take the church van to pick up those who couldn't get to church on their own, he would spend his Sunday mornings teaching Sunday School, and was an Elder and Deacon of the Church. Kenneth was a loving and caring man who will be deeply missed by all those that were Blessed to have him in their lives. Kenneth was predeceased by his parents, Patrick and Irene, and by his brother Brian. Kenneth is survived by his beloved wife of 54 years, Ane, by his loving children, Kenneth (Karen), Keith (Jennifer), Kirsten Suzuki (Benjamin), and Kyle (Mariellen), by his caring brothers Robert (Lois), Patrick (Theresa), and by his cherished grandchildren, Brandon, Nicholas, Derek, Kyle, Jillian, Kayla, Matthew, Benjamin, Julianna, Joshua, Thomas James, Daniel, Salvatore, Amelia, and David. A Funeral service will be at 10:00 AM on Friday at The John Vincent Scalia Home For Funerals, Inc. located at 28 Eltingville Blvd. (at Eltingville Station) Staten Island, New York 10312. Interment will be in Moravian Cemetery, Staten Island, NY. The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM on Wednesday, October 13, 2021 and Thursday, October 14, 2021 at The John Vincent Scalia Home For Funerals, Inc., 28 Eltingville Blvd. (at Eltingville Station), Staten Island, New York.
