Lisa Marie Giordano, 52 of Bangor, Pennsylvania passed away on Thursday, April 7, 2022, at Lehigh Valley Hospital in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. Born Saturday, March 21, 1970, in Brooklyn, New York, she was the daughter of Felicia and the late Thomas Skelly. She was the beloved wife of Michael Giordano for 19 years. In 1988. Lisa graduated from Tottenville High school in Staten Island, NY. After that she received an associate’s degree from the College of Staten Island. Lisa was an accomplished riding instructor at Richer Farm Inc. & Equus Stables on Staten Island where she touched the lives of many children. She also rode horses at West Shore Stables, Clove Lake Stables, Silver Lake Farm, Englewood Stables, and Lemon Creek. She also worked for a Deejay company, performing at weddings and multiple events. Lisa loved horses from a very early age. That love would take her on a journey from horse ownership to becoming a NYC Parks Enforcement Officer in the Mounted Unit to owning her own horse farm in Pennsylvania. Lisa became a NYC Parks Enforcement Officer in the Mounted Unit Division, patrolling NYC parks & beaches on horseback. She trained new horses for the unit while participating in many Macy's Thanksgiving Day parades and large-scale special events throughout the five boroughs. Here she earned the rank of Corporal. After her career with the Parks Department, she attended and graduated from the NYC police academy and became an officer with DEP, patrolling the Neversink Reservoir in Upstate NY. Lisa loved animals, especially horses & was the owner of Timber Ridge Farm Inc. in Bangor, Pennsylvania for 23 years. She would train horses & teach young students to ride ponies & horses while rescuing numerous cats. At Timber Ridge Farm, Lisa would host annual summer horse camps for kids and share her love of all thing’s horses. She would hold events throughout the year as well, including Halloween horse camps where the horses and riders would wear costumes. She had many friends in the horse community & was very proud of her students. Lisa was passionate about singing, playing guitar & composing music with her husband in their band, Chord On Blu. This was one of her great passions and something she truly enjoyed. In addition, she was the lead singer for multiple bands in New York, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania. She knew many musicians and was excited to share her ideas, songs, and love of music with them. Lisa cherished her daughter, Maria Rose and her husband, Mike. They enjoyed spending time on their horse farm, going on mini vacations & weekend getaways to the beach. Ocean City, Maryland was a favorite spot. Lisa immersed herself in her daughter's love of performing as she helped backstage at the Pennsylvania Youth Theater. She derived tremendous joy from watching Maria Rose's Drama & Dance performances during many Broadway based shows. This was a great part of their family's enjoyment. Lisa would attempt to follow her daughter's dance routines and they would have quite a few laughs in the process. She is survived by her beloved husband Michael, cherished daughter Maria Rose, dear Mother Felicia Skelly, adored sister of Susanne Cannella and by many loving aunts, uncles, sister-in-law, brothers-in law, nieces, nephews and cousins. A Service of the Word will be at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday at Holy Child Church located at 4747 Amboy Road Staten Island, New York 10312. Entombment to follow in Resurrection Cemetery, Staten Island, NY. The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM and 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM on Wednesday, April 13, 2022, at John Vincent Scalia Home for Funerals, Inc., 28 Eltingville Blvd, Staten Island, New York.
