Lucille Strazza

November 14, 1938 - November 22, 2020

Lucille Strazza, 82, a long time resident of Great Kills, passed away on Sunday, November 22, 2020, at Staten Island University Hospital North. Born Monday, November 14, 1938 in Brooklyn, New York, she was the daughter of the late Michael and Margaret Casso. Lucille married the love of her life, Charles, on September 28, 1958. They were married for 45 years and raised their two children Anthony and Donna together. Lucille enjoyed playing cards, taking trips to Atlantic City and shopping. Above all, she cherished the time she got to spend with her family. They were her true pride and joy. She is survived by her two children Anthony Strazza and his wife Maria & Donna Polizzi and her husband Peter. Her two granddaughters Dr. Marianne Strazza Weinstein (husband Jonathan Weinstein) and Gina Strazza and a Great Grandson Parker Strazza Weinstein. Lucille was pre deceased by her husband Charles Strazza who passed away in September of 2004. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Private on Wednesday with an Interment in Resurrection Cemetery, Staten Island, NY open to family and friends at 1:30 pm. Please be mindful due to the current State mandate that a mask must be worn at all times in the funeral home and social distancing requirements must be followed during all services. Due to the current pandemic circumstances please note: We do not accept deliveries from outside vendors for bakery products, fruit baskets, and floral arrangements until further notice. Floral Arrangements can be purchased from our in house floral designers who work under the most stringent sanitary conditions which include temperature checks, mask wearing, distancing and protective clothing. We must protect the families we serve, our own families and staff who operate the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations in Lucille's memory may be made to the St Jude's Childrens Research Foundation, a charity she supported over the years. Online condolences may be made to the family at www.scaliahome.com
