Luis Joseph Solivan

May 5, 1992 - July 6, 2020

Luis Joseph Solivan passed away on Monday July 6, 2020. Known by his family and friends as Joey, he was born in Brooklyn NY to Vilmarie Flores and Luis I Solivan. Luis went to Our Lady of Guadalope School in Dyker Heights, in 2000 they moved to Staten Isand where he attended Holy Rosary School in Rosebank. He then went to Msgr. Farrell High School graduating in 2010. Joey loved all sports, but his true passion was baseball. He played Little League ball in Brooklyn, and then joined teams on Staten Island including Federation Teams until he was 16. In 2012 Joey joined the United States Navy where he graduated with Honors in culinary. In 2014 he relocated to Florida and took a position as a Sales Manager for NHG in Boca Raton. While living in Florida he made many great friendships and they became his extended family and a tremendous support system for him. Anyone who knew Joey, would say that his presence in a room was one full of joy and energy. He had the ability to make people laugh from a simple smirk to a full blown belly laugh. In addition to his parents Vilmarie and Luis, he is survived by his Sister Tiffany Solivan, his grandfathers Luis Flores and Luis A. Solivan as well as his many loving Aunts, Uncles and Couisins. A gathering of family and friends will take place on Saturday from 4:00- 8:00 p.m. at the John Vincnet Scalia Home For Funerals Inc. Due to Covid 19 restrictions inplace the visiting is limited to a maximum of 30 people in the vieiwung room at one time and face coverings are mandatory.
