Manny Caridad, 26 of Staten Island, New York passed away suddenly on Sunday, September 13, 2020, at Staten Island University Hospital North, surrounded by his loving family. Born Tuesday, January 11, 1994 in Staten Island, New York, he was the proud son of Manuel Caridad and Patricia Nagle-Caridad. Manny attended St. John's University, earning a bachelors in Healthcare Administration. Manny was a proud member of TKE fraternity at St. John's University. He was passionate about his job as a Health Care Administrator at Memorial Sloan Kettering Hospital, NYC. Manny truly loved being able to help and care for the families he worked with. He was also currently enrolled in BMCC to study nursing as he wanted to continue to help people. Manny loved all sports. He enjoyed watching and playing various sports with his friends. He also enjoyed coaching. Manny was the youngest coach on record for the SI Boys Football team, the Chiefs. He loved horsing around with his faithful dog, Gavin, playing video games, and fitting in golf and fishing when he could. Manny was always the life of any party. He enjoyed making everyone around him laugh and smile. Manny cherished time spent with friends and family, socializing and sharing a drink with his fraternity brothers, or simply being at home watching TV with his two best buds, Jenna and Gavin. Loving son of Manuel Caridad and Patricia Nagle Caridad. Dearest brother of Taylor, Patrick and Mackenzie Caridad. Cherished longtime boyfriend of Jenna Sarno. Proud dog-dad to Gavin Caridad. Devoted grandson of Virginia and Manuel Caridad. Adored nephew, cousin and friend to many. He will be missed terribly by all who knew him. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday at St Joseph Church-Rossville located at 16 Poplar Ave Staten Island, New York 10309. Interment will follow in Resurrection Cemetery, Staten Island, NY. The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM on Friday, September 18, 2020, at John Vincent Scalia Home for Funerals, Inc., 28 Eltingville Blvd, Staten Island, New York. Please be mindful due to the current State mandate that a mask must be worn at all times in the funeral home and social distancing requirements must be followed during the services. Due to the current Pandemic a strict 40-50 person in room policy is in effect, please adhere to this policy and allow others to pay their respects as well.
