Margaret Kyne

April 10, 1925 - January 17, 2022

Margaret Kyne, 96 of Brooklyn, passed away on Monday, January 17, 2022, at Staten Island University Hospital North. Born Friday, April 10, 1925 in Chicago, Illinois, she was the daughter of the late Francis Hegarty and Katherine Hegarty. Margaret was blessed to have found love twice in her storied life. Welcoming her to her eternal home are late husbands Vincent McCormack and Thomas Kyne. Margaret's legacy will live on forever in her large and adoring family. Dear mother to Vincent McCormack, Thomas Kyne, Vincent Kyne, Kathleen Byrnes, Eileen Fleming, and Raymond Kyne, and their spouses, Donna McCormack, Asja Kyne, Debra Kyne, and JoAnn McCormack. Joining their fathers in welcoming their mother home are the late Gilbert McCormack and Denise Kyne with late son-in-laws Bruce Byrnes and Bill Fleming leading the way. Margaret was the cherished grandmother to eighteen wonderful souls who would bring forth a third generation to their respective families in the form of 27 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, January 21, 2022, at John Vincent Scalia Home for Funerals, Inc., 28 Eltingville Blvd, Staten Island, New York. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday at St. Ephrem's Church located at 929 Bay Ridge Parkway, Brooklyn, New York 11220. Interment to follow will be in Resurrection Cemetery, Staten Island, NY.
