Mark J. Mazzuki, 54, of Staten Island, New York, passed away on February 5th after a long battle with cancer. He fought for over 4 years with courage, persistence, humor and total faith. A beloved husband, father, son, brother, and friend, Mark was loved by many. Born in Staten Island to Robert and Patricia (McKay) Mazzuki, Mark moved to Bradenton, Florida in 1990 when he opened a printing company with parents. After teaching himself graphic design, he established his own graphic design business and developed into a talented Creative Director. He later owned his own publishing company, Marlin Media Publishing, with his friend, Linda Carrigan. He deeply loved pottery. He was the current President of the American Art Pottery association and designed the acclaimed JOURNAL for over 20 years. In his spare time, he loved to travel, play tennis, and collect pottery. He was a kind a loving spouse to his wife, Leslie, with whom he was married for over 32 years, as well as an amazing father to his daughter, Victoria. Mark's favorite saying was ''be kind,'' and this was exactly how he chose to live his life. He is survived by his wife Leslie A. (Marcario) Mazzuki, daughter Victoria L. Mazzuki, his parents Robert (deceased) and Patricia (McKay) Mazzuki, parents-in-law Lawrence (deceased) and Rosemary (Grimaldi) Marcario, brother Michael and Suzanne Mazzuki, sister Suzanne and Carmine Bruno, sister-in-law Linda and Stephen Wells, brother-in-law Lawrence Marcario, and his loving nieces and nephews, Joseph Marcario, Jacqueline Bruno, Christina Bruno, Nicole Mazzuki, Carmine Bruno, Jr., Michael Mazzuki, Jr, Nicole Marcario, Stephen Wells, Elizabeth (Wells) Broome, and Jeffery Wells. A person so special, so kind, caring, and talented, cannot have their life summed up in a few words. He will live in our hearts forever. In lieu of flowers, donations in Mark's memory may be made to the American Cancer Society in his name. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:00 AM on Thursday at St. Patrick's Church located at 53 St. Patrick's Place Staten Island, New York 10306. Interment will be in Moravian Cemetery, Staten Island, NY. The funeral mass will be avaliable via Facebook Live thru the parish https://www.facebook.com/stpatrickparishsiny The family will receive friends from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM on Thursday, February 11, 2021, at John Vincent Scalia Home for Funerals, Inc., 28 Eltingville Blvd, Staten Island, New York. Online condolences may be made to the family at www.scaliahome.com Please be mindful due to the current State mandate that a mask must be worn at all times in the funeral home and social distancing requirements must be followed during the services. Due to the current Pandemic a strict 30 person in room policy is in effect, as well as a maximum of 100 people permitted in Church. Please adhere to this policy and allow others to pay their respects as well. Due to the current pandemic circumstances please note: We do not accept deliveries from outside vendors for bakery products, fruit baskets, and floral arrangements until further notice. Floral Arrangements can be purchased from our in house floral designers who work under the most stringent sanitary conditions which include temperature checks, mask wearing, distancing and protective clothing.
