Michael A. Guarnieri, 71 of South Beach passed away suddenly on Wednesday, July 22, 2020, at Staten Island University Hospital North. Born Thursday, March 3, 1949 in New York, NY, he was the son of the late Mario and Nicolina (Dallessandro) Guarnieri. Mike a long time South Beach Resident, was a legend in his time. Mike had a long career as a Triborough Bridge and Tunnel Officer with the TBTA, he retired 20 years ago. Throughout his life Mike had many hobbies, He was devout Fantasy Baseball League Team player and will be forever remembered for "Team Uncle Mike". He was an active member of the Cespino Russo Post of the American Legion. Mike was a proud member of the Handyman Club of America and would proudly display his Certificates of Merit for everyone to enjoy. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, and proudly served as the President of the Triborough Bridge and Tunnel Retiree's Organization. Along with his many organizational associations, Mike was a friend to many a role model, a confidante and source of pure entertainment to all who knew him. He will be forever remembered, loved and missed. Michael was the devoted husband of Barbara (Tempone) Guarnieri, Loving father to Michael, Nicole and Victoria. Dear father in law of Louie and Christopher. Cherished brother to Anthony (Judy), Mario (Kathy) and Steve Guarnieri, and Adored grandfather of Lily, Nicolina, Matthew, Ryan and the late Mason who passed away in 2014. Beloved uncle to many nieces and nephews and grand nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 10:00 AM on Monday at St Ann's Church located at 101 Cromwell Ave Staten Island, New York 10304. Entombment will follow in Moravian Cemetery, Staten Island, NY. The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM on Sunday, July 26, 2020, at the John Vincent Scalia Home for Funerals, Inc., 28 Eltingville Blvd, Staten Island, New York.
