Michael Francis Guerin

May 21, 1971 - January 25, 2021

Michael Francis Guerin, 49 of Staten Island, New York passed away on Monday, January 25, 2021. Born Friday, May 21, 1971 in Brooklyn, New York, he was the cherished son of Francis Guerin and Anna Warbach. Michael attended and Graduated from Tottenville High School. He went on to receive a Bachelor's Degree in Economics from College of Staten Island, and he also received a Masters Degree from St. John's University. After college, he worked as a trader for Merrill Lynch and Barclays Bank for 25 years and worked part-time for FedEx. Michael enjoyed attending sports events and concerts. He also enjoyed nature and animals, especially the owl. Michael loved eating pizza and spending time with family and friends. Michael is the loving son of Francis and Anna Guerin. Devoted brother to Karen Guerin Emerich and Peter and Ryan Guerin. Dear uncle to Kate Emerich and Kane Emerich. The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM on Saturday, January 30, 2021, at John Vincent Scalia Home for Funerals, Inc., 28 Eltingville Blvd, Staten Island, New York. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks you make a donation to Memorial Sloan Kettering (https://secure2.convio.net/mskcc/site/Donation2?df_id=16327&mfc_pref=T&16327.donation=form1 ) or The Wounded Warrior Project (https://support.woundedwarriorproject.org/default.aspx?tsid=10043&ovr_acv_id=5246 ) Please be mindful due to the current State mandate that a mask must be worn at all times in the funeral home and social distancing requirements must be followed during the services. Due to the current Pandemic a strict 30 person in room policy is in effect. Please adhere to this policy and allow others to pay their respects as well. Due to the current pandemic circumstances please note: We do not accept deliveries from outside vendors for bakery products, fruit baskets, and floral arrangements until further notice. Floral Arrangements can be purchased from our in house floral designers who work under the most stringent sanitary conditions which include temperature checks, mask wearing, distancing and protective clothing. You can call the florist directly at 718-948-2016 and place your order. We must protect the families we serve, our own families and staff who operate the funeral home.
