Richard Quinto Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Richard Quinto, 75 of Monroe Township, New Jersey passed away on Sunday, July 17, 2022, at Centra State Medical Center. Born Thursday, July 18, 1946 in Brooklyn, New York, he was the son of Fortunato and Lucy Quinto. Richard graduated Abraham Lincoln High School and went on to become an Electrician for Local 3 I.B.E.W. He married his childhood sweetheart, love of his life, Annette Quinto nee Agosta on June 15, 1968. He is the loving father of two sons Frederick and Frank, beloved father-in-law of Jeanne and Danielle, adoring grandfather of five grandchildren, Julia, Michael, Richard, Zachary and Alexander. Richard was known for his gift of gab. There is not a situation he didn't have a story for, a long story. He enjoyed telling riddles and joking with his grandchildren. A religious man, he spent his time praying, reading religious books and spreading the word of God. A passionate cook, he spent hours watching the cooking channels for the latest tips and tricks. He loved being an Electrician and often equated life's problems to an electrical issue, solving them with a splice or rewiring. When you stopped by for a visit more often than not you'd find him puttering around his beloved garage. He found joy in organizing his endless collection of tools, or praying at his shrine of mass cards, which he named ''to all of those I've loved along the way''. Richard savored days spent at the beach, feet in the sand or getting taken down by the waves. Nothing brought him more happiness then spending time with his family. There was no prouder man. He was the first to celebrate any milestone, big or small. On the weekends he appreciated getting together with friends for dinners and martinis. He relished in being a doting husband to his wife Annette. Endless trips to the mall or anywhere she wanted to go, he was more than happy to take her, even if it meant sitting in the car for hours while she shopped. He was happy if she was happy. He left his imprint on the world and he will be greatly missed. The family will receive friends from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 20, 2022, at John Vincent Scalia Home for Funerals, Inc., 28 Eltingville Blvd, Staten Island, New York. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 AM on Thursday, July 21, 2022, at St Thomas Church located at 6135 Amboy Rd Staten Island, New York 10309. Interment will be in Moravian Cemetery, Staten Island, NY. In lieu of flowers, donations in Richard's Memory may be made to St Jude's Children's Hospital.
