Robert A. DiStefano

November 15, 1978 - September 30, 2020

On September 30, 2020, Robert DiStefano peacefully passed away surrounded by his family where he resided in Norfolk Virginia. Robert was born in Staten Island, New York on November 15, 1978. He was a 1997 graduate of Wagner High School, and then went on to attend online college classes for computer programming. In 2006 Robert and his wife Dona moved to Chesapeake Virginia, where they resided until his passing. He was a cashier at Target for 13 years where he was held in high regard not only by his fellow employees, but by many customers. He was an avid Met's fan that could be heard bickering with his best friend Jon when the Mets played the Yankees. He enjoyed seeing his niece and nephews on face time and could always be seen showing off pictures to anyone that wanted to look. He is survived by his wife of 17 years, Dona DiStefano , his mom Camille Graybow, and his step-dad Stuart Graybow. He is also survived by his step-mother Barbara Di Stefano, his favorite mother in law Pat Gustafson. He was an adored brother to Joe (Adele), James (Lauren), Megan and Thomas. He was a devoted uncle to Joseph, James, Mason, Jordyn, and Makayla. He is predeceased in death by his father Joseph DiStefano. He loved his fur babies Josie, Sandy, and Smokey. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered for Robert at 10:15 AM on Friday at Our Lady Star of the Sea Church located at 5411 Amboy Road Staten Island, New York 10312. The family will receive friends from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM on Thursday, October 8, 2020, at John Vincent Scalia Home for Funerals, Inc., 28 Eltingville Blvd, Staten Island, New York. Please be mindful due to the current State mandate that a mask must be worn at all times in the funeral home and social distancing requirements must be followed during the services. Due to the current Pandemic a strict 40-50 person in room policy is in effect, please adhere to this policy and allow others to pay their respects as well.
