Rosalia Maria Bellia Carollo, 59 of Great Kills, passed away after a courageous battle with cancer on Sunday, August 29, 2021, while at home surrounded by her loving family and friends. Rosalia was the beloved wife of Gaspare Raimondo Carollo (Ray), a loving mother to her two sons, Salvatore and Joseph, and sister to Guiseppe Bellia (Joey) and Frank Bellia. Born Wednesday, September 6, 1961 in Brooklyn, New York, she was the devoted daughter of the late Rosario Bellia and the late Angelina Bellia. Rosalia grew up in Bensonhurst, Brooklyn, and attended New Utrecht High School. As an adult, she was a vibrant young professional, who started her career working at The Bank of Toyko where she later met her husband Ray. Her most recent impact was at PS 42, where she touched the lives of many peers and students. Ray and Rosalie were married on May 5, 1996 and shared a beautiful 25-year marriage, full of joy, love, and tons of laughter. Rosalia's radiant energy, warmth, and laughter of life itself simply illuminated all those around her. Throughout her life, she built friendships with people her children call family. She was a beloved aunt and godmother to her nieces and nephews. Rosalia will be deeply missed by all those whose lives she touched and will be remembered forever. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 9:45 AM on Wednesday at St. Clare Church located at 110 Nelson Ave Staten Island, New York 10308. Entombment to follow will take place in Ocean View Cemetery, Staten Island, NY. The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Tuesday, August 31, 2021, at John Vincent Scalia Home for Funerals, Inc., 28 Eltingville Blvd, Staten Island, New York.
