Rose Pergola

February 29, 1920 - March 17, 2022

Rose Pergola passed away peacefully on Thursday March 17, 2022 at the age of 102. Born and raised in Brooklyn New York she was the daughter of the late John and Immaculata Padovano. A woman who was extremely devoted to her family, Rose was known for being a warm and loving mother with a sensitive heart that was apparent by how she treated others. Rose loved cooking and enjoying dinners with her family. A very social person, she enjoyed time spent with family and friends, as evidenced by her trips with family and friends to Atlantic City, the card and Bingo games she enjoyed playing with her friends. She was predeceased by her loving husband of 54 years Joseph, who passed away in 1999. She was the loving mother of Joseph, Judy Messina and Catherine DiBenedetto. She is also survived by her 6 grandchildren and her 6 great grandchildren. A gathering of family and friends will be held on Sunday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. at The John Vincent Scalia Home For Funerals Inc, 28 Eltingville Blvd. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Monday at St. Joseph's Church beginning at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow in Holy Cross Cemetery Brooklyn NY.
