Rose Zecchin
August 27, 1941 - August 9, 2020
With endless sadness we announce the passing of Rose Zecchin. She had an extraordinary soul full of immense love. She held multiple roles in her life and rose above even our highest expectations. Her grace and wisdom continue to carry us through her passing on Sunday, August 9, 2020, just 18 days shy of her 79th birthday. She bravely fought a fierce battle against her health as it declined. Born on August 27, 1941, she popped out with her sidekick who became her best friend for life, her twin brother Anthony. No matter what life brought, their love for each other remained a constant source of support. Family was the most important part of life for Rose. She shared an idyllic childhood surrounded by oodles of cousins, aunts and uncles. The family all lived close, almost a village unto themselves. Rose was the beloved mom of JulieAnn & Tommy. An idolized sister to Anthony. She was the proud grandmother of Kristina, Stephanie, Thomas, Emily and Tom Tom, step grandmother to Melissa, Alison and their children. She enjoyed being a great grandma to Hailey, Jason, Skylar, Lotus and Sophie. She was also a second mom to Denisse. She was a grandmother in-law to Jason & Jeff and a loving aunt to Frankie & Lisa. She was the sister-in law and close friend to Sandra. She was preceded in death by her loving parents, Anna & Frank, whom she dearly adored. And, her faithful pup Hootie, who always gave an abundance of joy and comfort. Rose was the strongest woman and a person to admire. Rose was both mother and father to her children and tirelessly made sure they felt the unconditional love and safety a family provides. She conquered cancer and braved through the deaths of some of her closest family and friends. Rose still had a smile to share. She had the purest of hearts and the ability to laugh at herself. Rose is the heart of our family. She made countless sacrifices throughout her life to provide a never- ending love. We now face life in her shadow, without the magic she brought to all of our lives. Our memories of Rose will echo throughout several generations.
