Scott Bellman

Scott Bellman grew up in Bensonhurst, Brooklyn, with the love and support of his older brother Chris. Many of his neighborhood friendships carried long into his life. Scott and his loving wife of 30 years, Annette, raised three strong, talented young men, Nicholas, Robert, and Anthony; whom he fondly called Nico, Robbie, and AJ. Scott was a jack of all trades. He was a great outdoorsman. Some of the happiest memories shared together with his boys were around the campground firepit, fishing in streams, and chasing lizards through the brush. He had a knack for hunting, which he enjoyed with his close friends and family. His love for the sport of hockey, was carried through his everyday life- coaching his sons and cheering on his favorite team, the New York Rangers. Some of his proudest days were those spent as a NYFD Fireman, Ladder 159, Engine 309. He proudly served in the tragic events of 9/11. At the firehouse, he picked up the nickname of the "Octopus;" well-known for multitasking at a fast pace, especially in the kitchen. He was a great chef, a skill he perfected at the firehouse, and shared with his family at home. Scott was an animal lover. Throughout his life, he cared for many pets, which became loyal family members. He had the best-trained dogs, ferrets, exotic reptiles, and the list goes on. Scott always wanted to capture the special moments of life and could always be found at the party with a camera in hand. He planned fun-filled block parties, and neighborhood reunions, ever complete with good jokes and laughter. Scott's presence touched the lives of everyone around him. His kind spirit and good heart will be remembered by all those who knew and loved him dearly. May his soul rest forever at peace. Scott is survived by his wife Annette Bellman of 30 years, his sons Nicholas, Robert and Anthony. His brother Chris Bellman and his wife Faith. His Mother & Father in Law Maddalena and Bruno Chiacchiari, his sister in law Patricia Russo, Brother and sister in law John and Linda Lomando, his nieces and nephews Ashely, Maria, Joseph Russo III, Erica and John Lomando along with many loving aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
