Thomas LoMeo, 59, of Staten Island, New York, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family on Thursday, January 21, 2021. Thomas was born on May 10, 1961 in Brooklyn, New York, where he grew up and met his beloved wife, Lori. On October 25, 1986, Lori and Thomas were married and began their lives together. Shortly after in 1987, they settled in Staten Island, New York to raise their family and just recently moved to Matawan, New Jersey. Thomas worked as a school bus driver for Hoyt Transportation Company for many years and was most recently working for Pioneer Transportation. Thomas was an avid New York Mets, Jets, and Rangers fan. He kept himself involved in various types of volunteer work, especially coaching for East Shore Little League and St. Joseph Rosebank CYO Basketball. Thomas enjoyed attending his men�s group at Faith Community Church, where he was blessed spending time with friends that he called brothers. Most of all, Thomas loved spending as much time as possible with his beloved family. He was a loving husband, father, son-in-law, brother-in-law, uncle, and friend, and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. He was predeceased by his parents, Frederick and Emma (Liguori) LoMeo and his father-in-law, Philip Vallone. Thomas is survived by his beloved and devoted wife of 34 years, Lori (Vallone) LoMeo, his loving children, Jessica LoMeo of Staten Island, New York, and Matthew LoMeo of Matawan, New Jersey, his adoring mother-in-law, Susan Vallone, his dear sister-in-law, Susan Mastrantonio, his treasured brother-in-law, Ralph Mastrantonio, and his cherished niece and nephew, Ralphie and Belle Mastrantonio. Family and friends are invited to visit on Monday, January 25, 2021 from 5:00 to 9:00 PM and Tuesday morning from 11:00 to 11:30 AM at John Vincent Scalia Home for Funerals, 28 Eltingville Boulevard, Staten Island, New York 10312. A prayer service will be offered at the funeral home on Monday evening at approximately 7:30 pm. Interment will follow Tuesday morning�s visitation hours at Ocean View Cemetery, 3315 Amboy Road, Staten Island, New York 10306. Due to the current Pandemic a strict 30 person in room policy is in effect, as well as a maximum of 100 people permitted in Church. Please adhere to this policy and allow others to pay their respects as well. Due to the current pandemic circumstances please note: We do not accept deliveries from outside vendors for bakery products, fruit baskets, and floral arrangements until further notice. Floral Arrangements can be purchased from our in house floral designers who work under the most stringent sanitary conditions which include temperature checks, mask wearing, distancing and protective clothing.
