Adeline Buttacavole

Adeline Buttacavole of Great Kills passed away on January 6, 2021 at the age of 91. She was born and raised in the Little Italy section of Manhattan to the late Domenico and Antoinette Amatucci. Adeline was a women of enduring charm who had great zest for life. She was a member of the Fr. Drumgoole Council Columbiettes having served as President. She was a member of the Great Kills Friendship Club and a member of AARP. She enjoyed cooking and baking for her family. She enjoyed being with people be it for lunch, shopping, meetings or simply sharing a cup of coffee. She put family above all else as they were her highest priority and her greatest source of joy. She was pre deceased by her husband Joseph who passed away in December of 2006. She is survived by her loving children Anthony, Annette De Pirro and Danny., her 5 grandchildren and her 9 great grandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at the Church of St. Clare on Saturday at 10:00am. Interment will follow in Resurrection Cemetery. A gathering of family and friends will take place on Friday from 1-5 pm at the John Vincent Scalia Home For Funerals Inc. In lieu of flowers, donations in Adelines memory can be made to Fr. Drumgoole Columbiettes 397 Clark Avenue Staten island NY 10306 Please be mindful due to the current State mandate that a mask must be worn at all times in the funeral home and social distancing requirements must be followed during the services. Due to the current Pandemic a strict 30 person in room policy is in effect, as well as a maximum of 100 people permitted in Church. Please adhere to this policy and allow others to pay their respects as well. Due to the current pandemic circumstances please note: We do not accept deliveries from outside vendors for bakery products, fruit baskets, and floral arrangements until further notice. Floral Arrangements can be purchased from our in house floral designers who work under the most stringent sanitary conditions which include temperature checks, mask wearing, distancing and protective clothing.
