Loving Mother, Grandmother, Stepmother, Step Grandmother, Mother-in-law, and friend.. Alice Thompson 77 of Eltingville Staten Island has left her worldly vessel on Tuesday January 16 with the comfort of her Loving Daughter Jennifer by her side. Alice Thompson, Born Alice Campbell in Brooklyn NY to Signa Margaret and David Campbell. As a child Alice could be found on her Brooklyn apartment stoop, enjoying a cold bottle of Coca-Cola and her favorite romance novel. In her adult years Alice met the Love of her Life (The late Andrew Thompson,) with whom she mothered 3 children of her own as well being an active part of Andrews 6 children together with Andrew by her side. A dedicated and committed homemaker or Domestic Engineer, a title she aptly preferred and deserved, Alice was tough, yet fair. Strong and yet compassionate. Her old-fashioned ways brought togetherness to her home. Whether it was setting the table for night dinners, Saturday breakfast or preparations for family holidays, family was at her utmost priority. Alice spent her Wednesday nights as an avid league Bowler. After which she would enjoy a meal or dessert with her friend of 40 years (Kathy). She took pride in creating art masterpieces in the form of holiday cards to add her own special style, to commemorate birthdays and unique events. She enjoyed her shopping outings but most of all, her joy came from watching those around her smile, flourish and enjoy life. Alice will be missed by her surviving children; Jennifer, Alan, and Michael (Big Mike). Her Stepchildren; Cindie, Linda, Karen, Theodore (TEDDY), Michael (Mikey), and Andrea. Grand children Chrissy, Catie, Hailey, Emily, Joseph (Joe Joe) Autumn, Shane, Jessie, Corey, Ryan, TJ, Justin, Ashley, Ryan, and Matthew. Alice, we miss you, holidays and dinners will never be the same. We raise a glass of Emmets in your name. You will always be in our homes, in our hearts and in our thoughts till the day we meet again. Say hi to Poppy for us, Give a hug to all our past pets. We love you and will miss you Greatly. A Funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday at John Vincent Scalia Home for Funerals, Inc. located at 28 Eltingville Blvd Staten Island, New York 10312. Interment will follow in Rosehill Cemetery, Linden, NJ. The family will receive friends from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM on Monday, January 22, 2024, at John Vincent Scalia Home for Funerals, Inc., 28 Eltingville Blvd, Staten Island, New York.
