Andy’s Obituary Andrew Timothy McIntyre, known as “Andy” to most, 25, of Staten Island, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, April 24, 2026, due to complications from severe asthma. Born in Staten Island and raised in the Midland Beach neighborhood, Andy was a beloved son, brother, fiancé, grandson, and friend whose presence brought energy, creativity, and love wherever he went. Andy graduated from Ralph R. McKee Career and Technical Education High School and later continued his education at The School of Audio Engineering, where he studied music production, recording, mixing, and sound design technology. Music was Andy’s deepest passion and greatest gift. As a preteen, he taught himself guitar and grew into an extraordinary singer, songwriter, and performer. He was the lead singer of the indie rock band The Parallel Lines, which he founded alongside his brother Aaron Tyler McIntyre, who plays the drums. Together they built not only a band, but a community of young people who loved one another fiercely and became a close-knit family through music. As a young boy, Andy was baptized in Jesus Christ, attended youth group, and often played guitar on Oasis Church’s worship team. Andy was a true star on stage, bringing people together through his voice, words, and presence. His creative legacy will continue through their studio and company, Grandma’s House Records. In addition to his music, Andy found joy in mentoring others. His most recent employment was teaching music to junior high students in an after-school program, sharing his passion and encouraging the next generation. Andy loved deeply and wholeheartedly. He fiercely loved his fiancée, Pamela Aliotta, and adored their beloved cat, Kiss. He always tried to make everyone laugh, and succeeded. His conversations were filled with passion and fire. He cherished his family and friends, never leaving without saying “I love you,” and always making sure those around him knew how much they meant to him. He is survived by his loving mother, Camille Rosado McIntyre; his father, Timothy William McIntyre; his sister, Eleanor Rebekah McIntyre; his brother, Aaron Tyler McIntyre; his fiancée, Pamela Aliotta; his grandparents, Kenneth McIntyre and Teresa Chance McIntyre, and many extended family members, bandmates, and dear friends whose lives were changed by knowing him. Andrew is proceeded in death by his maternal grandparents, Carlos Rosado and Eleanor Sapalo Rosado. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 28, 2026, at Scalia Funeral Home from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM. A memorial service will be held during the evening hours. Andrew will be cremated and laid to rest privately at a later date with immediate family. Andrew’s light, music, laughter, and love will live on in all who knew him. Though his time here was far too short, the impact of his life will be lasting.
