Anthony Fazio, a beacon of love and laughter, peacefully departed this world on June 14, 2026, at the age of 98, enveloped in the warmth and affection of his cherished family. His passing marks the end of a remarkable journey that began on August 31, 1927, in the vibrant heart of Brooklyn, New York. Born to Frank and Mary Fazio, Anthony was raised with strong family values that he carried forward throughout his life. Anthony's life was a testament to commitment, both to his country and his family. He bravely served in the U.S. Army during World War II, embodying courage and dedication. Upon returning home, he found the love of his life, marrying June Monte on August 25, 1951. Together, they nurtured a family blessed with five devoted daughters, creating a sanctuary of love, laughter, and happiness. Though June preceded him in death, their union remains a beautiful chapter woven into the fabric of their family's history. Family was the cornerstone of Anthony's life. He was predeceased by his parents, Frank and Mary, his brother Salvator, his beloved wife June, his daughter Jane, and his great-granddaughter Giada. He is survived by his daughters Bettyann, Francine, Annette, and June, along with their spouses Max, Mike, Ron, and Steve. His loving sister, Mary, continues to carry forward the family legacy. Anthony was also a proud grandfather to 18 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren, and he was beloved by numerous nieces, nephews, and a multitude of friends who were touched by his kindness. Beyond his familial joys, Anthony was a man of many passions. He was an active member of the St. Joseph St. Thomas Parish, where he found spiritual solace and community. His love for music and dance was infectious, often seen waltzing across the floor with his wife and daughters. In his later years, Anthony discovered a new passion for cooking, delighting many with his secret manicotti recipe—a treasure he shared only with the luckiest of friends. Anthony was known for his quirky sense of humor and quick wit, qualities that endeared him to everyone he met. His ability to make anyone feel like family was a gift that left a lasting impression on all who crossed his path. His warmth, humor, and unwavering love for his family serve as a testament to a life well-lived. In honor of his wife June's battle with Alzheimer's, the family requests that donations be made to the Alzheimer's Association, continuing his legacy of love and support for those in need. As we bid farewell to Anthony, we remember not just the years he graced this earth, but the immeasurable love and joy he imparted to those around him. His spirit will forever live on in the hearts of his family and friends. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 AM on Thursday at St Joseph's Church located at 16 Poplar Ave Staten Island, New York 10309. Interment will be in St. Charles Cemetery, Farmingdale, NY. The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM on Wednesday, June 17, 2026, at John Vincent Scalia Home for Funerals, Inc., 28 Eltingville Blvd, Staten Island, New York.
