Cheryl Eisler June 29, 1959 - July 1, 2026 It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Cheryl Eisler, of Eltingville, who passed away on July 1, 2026, at the age of 67. Born on June 29, 1959, in Brooklyn, New York, Cheryl was the beloved daughter of Miklos Eisler and Ida (Sandberg) Eisler. She is also survived by her sisters, Doreen and Ruthy. Cheryl graduated from John Dewey High School with the Class of 1977 and carried a remarkable work ethic, determination, and resilience throughout her life. Cheryl was a devoted mother whose greatest pride was her family. She was the loving mother of Joseph, Deborah (Bocchiaro), Kimberly, and Dylan (Gaugh). She dedicated her life to providing for her children, supporting them through every stage of life, and celebrating their accomplishments. Her love for her family was unconditional and unwavering. She was also a proud and loving grandmother to Isabella ''Izzy'' Coltey, Jason Rivera, and Joshua Bocchiaro. Her grandchildren were among her greatest joys. Cheryl built an impressive career in the financial industry spanning more than three decades. She was most proud of her time at Dean Witter, where she worked for four years before continuing her professional journey at Bear Stearns. During her 16 years at Bear Stearns, she served as the Senior Executive Assistant to the Deputy Co-Head of Global Equity Research, a position she took great pride in. Following the transition to J.P. Morgan Chase, Cheryl continued her career there for another 11 years. She was deeply respected for her professionalism, dedication, and exceptional work ethic, qualities that defined both her career and her character. Cheryl was predeceased by her first husband, Andre Bocchiaro, and her second husband, John Gaugh. Outside of work, Cheryl loved traveling and looked forward to every vacation, creating treasured memories with her family and friends. She also shared a special bond with her beloved dog, Ruby, who brought her endless companionship and unconditional love. Cheryl will be remembered for her strength, kindness, resilience, and unwavering devotion to her family. She taught those around her the value of hard work, perseverance, loyalty, and unconditional love. Her legacy lives on through her children, grandchildren, extended family, and the many friends and colleagues whose lives she touched. Though our hearts are broken by her passing, we take comfort in the countless memories she leaves behind. Her love, guidance, and generous spirit will remain with us always, and she will be deeply missed but never forgotten. The family will receive friends from 8:30 - 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, July 8, 2026, at John Vincent Scalia Home for Funerals, Inc., 28 Eltingville Blvd, Staten Island, New York. A Funeral Service will be at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, July 8, 2026 at the Funeral Home. Interment will be in Moravian Cemetery, Staten Island, NY.
